Project NOAH Executive Director Prof. Mahar Lagmay’s radio show, Red Alert, wins Best Educational Radio Program at the 36th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA). Co-hosted with Atom Araullo and Dr. Ted Esguerra, DZMM’s public service program airs both over Radyo Patrol 630 and DZMM Teleradyo every Sunday 10:00 – 11:00 in the morning. It aims to promote disaster and emergency preparedness among its listeners and viewers.

Red Alert also engages its audience through its “Alert U” segment where the hosts ask the “Question of the Week” based on the week’s topic. The show discusses relevant topics on both man-made and natural hazards complimenting them with practical tips such as what to do in case of an earthquake. Red Alert also invites subject matter experts for a more informative and interactive program.

Less than a year into the show, Red Alert continues to instill a culture of preparedness to the public by providing its audience with accurate, scientific, and socially relevant information. Past episodes of the show can be viewed on the DZMM YouTube Channel and website.
